Celebrating 30 years of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
We’re going on a bear hunt.
We’re going to catch a big one.
Will you come too?
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt, the classic chant-aloud by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury, started a publishing phenomenon 30 years ago with readers swishy-swashying and splash-sploshing through this award-winning picture book favourite. Now with special 30th anniversary paperback and board book editions coming in Spring 2019, this modern picture book classic can be enjoyed by a whole new generation of readers.
To celebrate, Walker Books are delighted to offer libraries nationwide everything you need to celebrate the anniversary in style in April by hosting your very own Bear Hunt and storytime – perfect for brave hunters and bear lovers everywhere.
Your adorable anniversary event pack will include:
- 1 x FREE paperback copy of We’re Going on a Bear Hunt
- 2 x A3 posters
- 1 x downloadable activity pack for you to host your very own Bear Hunt
- 1 x downloadable event poster
- 1 x downloadable storytime kit with top tips from professional storyteller, Vanessa Woolf
- 1 x downloadable teacher’s notes
- Downloadable social media assets
You can order these until 25 February (but they may sell out before this date).
This is strictly one pack per public library. If you are ordering more than one pack (to disperse to other libraries in your region) you need to also email Kimberley.Sheehan@readingagency.org.uk to notify her of the individual library names that the packs will be used at. Alternatively, you can do individual orders for each library in the shop.
Please note, if you order a pack you are agreeing to use the materials within your library and to share photos of the group (these do not need to include children's faces) using them on social media using #bearhunt tagging @WalkerBooksUK and @readingagency. You will also send feedback of how you used the provided materials by 13 May. Please do not order the pack if you cannot commit to this.
The publisher will be dispatching your resources. They will receive a dispatch list with your contact name and work address (which you give) for delivery. They will only deliver the pack requested and the dispatch list will then be deleted after the packs have been sent.
