Reading Sparks is a national reading for pleasure programme which uses reading to engage children, young people and family audiences in STEM topics.

'Free STEM books – the first 50 library services to sign up to Reading Sparks will receive 10 “Curious Pearl” STEM books as a gift from Raintree, an educational publisher working with Reading Sparks. These books are not to be loaned but to be used as incentives for engagement with Reading Sparks and in particular for completion of evaluation forms.'
