Like lots of people up and down the country, the publishing team at Cornerstone have been reading books that make them smile, seek out hope and offer a slice of escapism during these difficult times. Now they're delighted to share their uplifting lockdown picks with libraries and reading groups with a bumper digital pack.
After unstacking their bedside piles and rifling through their bookshelves, six staff members at Cornerstone (an imprint of Penguin Random House) have shared their favourite lockdown reads, which include: Ten Types of Human by Dexter Dias; Atomic Habits by James Clear; The Broken Hearts Honeymoon by Lucy Dickens; Educated by Tara Westover; The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell; and The Intoxicating Mr Lavelle by Neil Blackmore.
FOR EACH TITLE THE DIGITAL PACK CONTAINS:
- An introduction to the book
- Reading group questions
- A note from Cornerstone staff member on why they picked the book
- Images of the book cover
- Quote cards
The pack will be available to order until 7 August.
The pack will also contain a feedback form to be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org by 21 September. All resources can be shared on social media and used to facilitate reading group discussions.
Please note, if you order a pack you are agreeing to use the materials with your users/reading group and to return your feedback by the above deadline. Where possible please also share the resources on social media tagging @PenguinUKBooks (@penguinbooks on Facebook), @readingagency and #cornerstonepicks.
