**Materials available to all libraries**
The International Booker Prize celebrates translated fiction at its finest. The prize is awarded for a single novel or collection of short stories, and both the writer and the translator will be rewarded equally for their contribution.
In the lead-up to the winner announcement on 26 August, all libraries are invited and encouraged to promote the books in contention for the Prize. Celebrating fiction in translation is a great way of widening reader choice and promoting books that would appeal to people from all different communities.
