Prisons: Road to Reading

The Road to Reading is a 10-week initiative that invites participants to pledge to read for 30 minutes each week and see what a difference it makes.
According to research, adults who read for just 30 minutes a week are:
- 20% more likely to report greater life satisfaction.
- 18% more likely to have higher self-esteem.
- 52% more likely to feel socially included and 37% more likely to get greater pleasure out of their social life.
After signing up, you'll receive link to download a digital pack for your prison. This will include everything you need to run the Road to Reading:
- Guidance for prison staff
- Participant log for prison staff
- Registration form for participants
- Completion form for participants
- Printable 'road map' for participants
- Printable flyer to promote the opportunity
Participants can join the Road to Reading at any time.
