Macmillan Children's Books is offering FREE packs to libraries for the funny and heartwarming adventure offering a peek behind the scenes of the making of a Hollywood blockbuster movie by award-winner and film industry insider, Frank Cottrell-Boyce. The book is illustrated in black and white throughout by Steven Lenton.

Each pack will include the following:

  • A4 Standee
  • Bookmarks
  • Activity sheets
  • Copy of the book

When new boy Rafa and his friends accidentally stray onto the set of a Hollywood blockbuster, the last thing they expect is to become part of the action. Rafa’s likeness to the famous movie star, BB, gives him VIP access all areas, including the banquet of catering doughnuts!

But Rafa isn’t the only one having an adventure. His big brother, Cillian, is missing. He sent Rafa a clue to his location, but he can’t really be in actual Hollywood, can he? It’s up to Rafa to keep acting the part of a movie star, if he is to find his brother – and home.

How to order

Orders for one pack per library only. If you are ordering more than one pack (to disperse to other libraries in your region) you need to also email  kathleen.ktorides@readingagency.org.uk to notify her of the individual library names that the packs will be used at. Alternatively, you can do individual orders for each library in the shop. Please place your order by Friday 23 Feb. Packs may sell out before this date.

This offer is for public and school libraries. 

Packs will be dispatched to libraries in March.
