The Booker Prize is the world’s most significant award for a single work of fiction. It has rewarded and celebrated world-class talent for over 55 years, shaping the canon of 20th and 21st century literature.
The Booker Prize 2026 longlist, announced at 2pm BST, Tuesday, 28 July 2026, will showcase the 12 or 13 best sustained works of fiction written in English and published in the UK and/or Ireland, as chosen by this year’s judging panel.
The Booker Prize 2026 campaign is rooted in the idea of our individual reading lives – how our personal histories, interests and locations influence the role that books play in our lives and help us connect with others through great fiction. This year's series of video shorts and photography will showcase Booker Prize judges, books and readers out and about, with the aim of encouraging everyone to delve into this year's selection in their favourite spot and share their experience with readers around the world.
Free library display materials
The Booker Prize Foundation team is creating printed and digital display packs to encourage readers to get involved and borrow one of the Booker Prize nominated books from their library. The materials will guide readers to further online resources including extracts, judge interviews and comments, author interviews, a quiz and more.
Printed materials include A4 posters and bookmarks featuring this year’s longlist. Digital packs contain a suite of assets including images, social media graphics, shelf talkers, and synopses.
To sign up to receive a free display pack, please order below by midday Wednesday, 29 July (packs may sell out before this). If you select a printed pack you will also receive a digital pack.
Digital packs will be automatically delivered to your email after the announcement of the Booker Prize 2026 longlist at 2pm BST on Tuesday, 28 July and printed packs should be with you by Wednesday, 12 August. All materials are printed on FSC-certified paper.
